Seven year-old David of Orange County loves McDonald’s, the New York Yankees and lots of Hot Wheels race cars!  He adores animals and likes to have steak at Outback Steakhouse.  He must have developed a love for the Land Down Under, because when asked about his wish, he told Wish Granters he wanted to see a Kookaburra bird – native only to Australia!

Preparations were made and on April 17, he took off on the long trip to the Gold Coast!  There he visited so many amazing theme parks, including Sea World, Movie World and Wet ‘n Wild!  But perhaps the highlight of his trip was a visit to the incredible Australia Zoo – home of the late, famous Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin!  There he saw all the animals he could (including the kookaburra bird), got a behind-the-scenes VIP tour, and even took a picture with a koala bear!  It was an unforgettable trip for a special child.  Thanks to Make-A-Wish Australia, our sponsors, volunteers and staff for making it all come true!
