Jessi-Ann in her own words:

During my year off - being in the hospital and getting my heart transplant, I always thought my job is kind of easy.  Sure, I was in pain, but it was more painful for my mom and dad standing there powerless watching me; especially for my little brother Joe.  When I found out I was getting a Make-A-Wish, I didn’t immediately think “what do I want?” Instead I thought– “what would my family like”.   Something relaxing and family oriented…  and it hit me one day when I was watching TV!  A commercial came on for a family cruise on the Carnival Cruise line.  And finally, as I was getting better, I was able to go on my wish!!

It was so much fun –it had everything my family and I loved!  There was an all you can eat buffet, we were surrounded by water, my brother and I got to watch the shows, my mom and I say by the pool relaxing and talking  like two old ladies.  And when I was alone, I would go to the gym, run on the treadmill and watch the sun rise and set.  The trip was amazing –being able to share this experience with my family was marvelous and I could have never done this without Make-A-Wish.
Thank you, Jessi-Ann
