On Thursday, July 31st we hosted our annual Donor Dinner at The Lodge At Hudson Harbor in Tarrytown, NY. The Donor Dinner is an opportunity for our chapter to thank our generous donors who have supported us throughout the year. There is no solicitation at this event, just a fun night of thanks and joy.
Special thanks to John Crabtree, Greg Gilbert and Glenn Vogt for helping us organize this great event. Together they gathered some of the best establishments in the Hudson Valley including:
Crabtree's Kittle House Restaurant & Inn, Rivermarket, Mima Vinoteca, Zuppa Restaurant, Restaurant North, X2O Xaviar's on the Hudson, Frannie's Goodie Shop, Sonora, 42, Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, The Cookery Restaurant, Memphis Mae's BBQ Bistro, 121 Restaurant - North Salem, Moderne Barn, and The Great American BBQ Company.
During the evening, we thanked Board of Director, Thomas "Tom" Sullivan, for his support over the years. Tom has been a supporter of our chapter for over 10 years and his term as Board Chair comes to an end at the of the month.
We were also privileged and honored to present the Kenneth Wolf award to the Anthony/Rosee family who despite the devastating loss in 2008 of their daughter and niece, wish child Kaitlyn who wished to meet the princesses at Disney, they have continued to support and promote our chapter. The Anthony/Rosee family have raised well over $130,000 through their annual benefit and Walk for Wishes walk team.
The award, was created in memory of Kenneth Wolff, a board member who was diagnosed with cancer during his time as Board Chair. Unfortunately, Ken did pass away and this award was created and intended to honor him as well as future individuals who embody hope, strength and joy.
