Michael, Mya, and their families were greeted and escorted by volunteer JoAnn Parker who showed them around Michie Stadium and prepped them for their day as honorary co-captains.
Some highlights for Michael included watching the players warm-up and being so close to them during practice. When asked by the referees if he could do the coin toss - he took out a coin and began to practice. Michael received the game coin from the referee and even shook hands with the team captains. Michael was also excited to be presented with the game-ball from the West Point Parachute team.
Michael and Mya were later informed that the Parachute team were only able to perform twice this year due to the weather so it was a real treat to watch them in the morning and pre-game ceremonies.
For wish child Mya, the highlight of the day was meeting the Army Cheerleaders and watching them during their tumbling routine. The cheerleaders even let her hold the pom-poms for a photo and she loved it!
ARMY would go on to beat the Fordham Rams 42-31. This was Army's final home game for the season and we can't thank West Point enough for providing these amazing experiences to our wish kids. Special thanks to JoAnn for sharing the great photos too!
Michael is still deciding on his wish and Mya's wish to go to Walt Disney World was granted this past September.
