Wish kid Malike served as Honorary captain as Army faced-off versus Rutgers

Malike, a 13-year-old from Westchester county served as the 5th Make-A-Wish® honorary team captain of the season for the Army Black Knights as they faced-off versus Rutgers University. Read more...

Malike and his family were greeted and escorted by volunteers, Nancy Witt and Neva Goldstein, who showed them around Michie Stadium.

As part of the day, Malike participated in the coin toss and chatted with the referees as he waited to be introduced as "Honorary Team Captain" for the day.

While on the sidelines, Malike had the opportunity to meet several Army football players. The Army West Point football team had one of its best games of the season, but it wasn't enough to top Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights won 31-21 despite the Black Knights' efforts, but it was a win for Malike and his family who had a wonderful day hosted by West Point and Make-A-Wish.

Special thanks to West Point for providing these amazing enhancement experiences for our wish kids and to Nancy and Neva for the great photos!

Malike is scheduled to go to Legoland in February 2016.
