5-year-old Hunter from Rockland County enjoys playing with Legos, eating bowls of ice cream and loves anything that has to do with SpongeBob Squarepants. Hunter might be a shy child who speaks softly, but he is very personable in a way that is very unique. He is an extremely happy child who is the product and heart of such a happy family.
After being diagnosed with the life-threatening disease of sickle cell, it was up to Make-A-Wish®
Hudson Valley to help bring him the strength and hope where he needed it the most. After whispering to his mother what he wanted his wish to be, he then was happy to share his wish to go to Disney aloud to his Wish Granters. He may be shy and quiet, but Hunter knows for certain what he likes and what he wants! After watching Disney on television, Hunter’s wish to go to Disney and see Mickey Mouse came true.
Hunter’s wish experience was not only a special moment for him, but also his family. That once shy child was now overflowing with laughter, a smile and most of all joy! The family was able to spend a series of magical moments together and leave all the troubles behind them.
Wish Parent Derone shared this exciting message:
“Many thanks from our family to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley for granting my son (Hunter) his wish. We had a great time at Disney World and our stay at Give Kids the World was the best!”
