Dr. Jay Boyer
Dr. Jay Boyer is a Board Certified Pediatric Pulmonologist at the New York Medical College and Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at Westchester Medical Center, where his is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics. Dr. Boyer is also a Fellow of the American Thoracic Society and a Fellow of the America College of Chest Physicians. Previously, Dr. Boyer also served as the Medical Director for the Marty Lyons Foundation (Westchester Chapter). He received his undergraduate degree in Biology at Fordham University and his M.D. from the State University of New York at Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Boyer lives in Yorktown Heights with his wife Marianne and their children.
Debbie Flynn has been a MAW volunteer for more than a decade, serving as a Wish granter. Each year, she and Cathy Sifre, conduct a fundraiser that has generated hundreds of thousands of dollars to help make wishes come true. Debbie attended SUNY New Paltz. She currently assists in the bid process and construction scheduling for new multifamily properties for Seakill Home Builders, and also serves as property manager. Debbie volunteers with Kingston Kiwanis and has previously volunteered at St. Joseph’s Church in New Paltz, where she taught religious instruction, worked the food pantry, and is a Eucharistic Minister. Debbie has two children and two grandchildren and currently resides in New Paltz.
Robert (Bob) Fuhrer
Robert Fuhrer returns to the Board for a second stint as a Director. Bob founded Nextoy, LLC in 1981. The Company develops and brings new consumer product concepts to the market in the field of toys & games, puzzles, publishing, and gifts. Nextoy’s clients include Hasbro, Spin Master, Goliath Games, Sterling Publishing and the New York Times. Classic Nextoy products include KenKen® Puzzles, Crocodile Dentist, Gator Golf, and iTop.
Bob is a graduate of Syracuse University, and is a long-time resident of Chappaqua, New York, where he lives with his wife Judy. They have three grown children.
Howard Goldstein is the Managing Partner of Cortlandt Private Capital, an investment firm specializing in working with and investing in private companies. He is also the co-founder of and an operating partner of Vendanta Capital, a diversified Venture Capital Investment firm. He also serves on the Board of the Hudson Valley Hospital Center and the Hope for Youth Foundation. Howard is a certified Wish Granter for Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley. Howard graduated from Clark University and received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School. Howard lives in Cortlandt Manor with his wife, Neva, (also a Wish Granter). They have two grown children, Rebecca and Jesse.
Kevin G. Graves
Kevin G. Graves is the managing Partner in the law firm Doonan, Graves and Longoria LLC, a broad based real estate, estate, and business law practice operating in New York, Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire. Previously, Kevin served in the County Attorney’s office and served on the County Executive’s Cabinet as the Westchester County Director of Real Estate. Kevin is a longtime supporter of Make-A-Wish and an avid golfer. Kevin graduated from the University of Rhode Island and received his Juris Doctorate from Howard University. Kevin resides in White Plains with his wife, Donna.
Linda Hannigan is a partner at Sedore & Co., CPA’s in Poughkeepsie where she specializes in audits of not-for-profit organizations and municipalities. Linda has thirty years of experience and earned the AICPA Governmental/Not-for-Profit Accounting and Auditing Certificate of Achievement. Her professional memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants New York State Society of CPA’s, NYS Government Finance Officers’ Association and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Linda currently serves as Treasurer of the Bon Secours Community Hospital Foundation as well as Treasurer of the Dutchess County Workforce Investment Board. Linda received a BS in Accounting from St. Thomas Aquinas College and received her CPA designation in 1986.
Tom Leihbacher is a Wish Dad. Tom currently is a volunteer at the Hudson Valley Chapter, and is a part our Chapter’s Speaker’s Bureau. Outside of Make-A-Wish, Tom is a Sales Manager, East for YP.Com (AT&T) where he helped relaunch YP as a premier advertising platform. Prior to joining YP, Tom was involved in sales for Boingo Media of Los Angeles and at Premier Retail Networks (PRN) of San Francisco. He also volunteers at the Ossining Food Pantry and is a Youth Group Leader at Faith Lutheran Brethren Church in Briarcliff. Tom received a BS in Advertising from the University of Florida and a Masters in Education from Pace University. Tom and his wife, Rachel, have a grown son - Wish Alumni Tommy - and currently live in Briarcliff Manor.
Kerry Lyons, is Senior Vice President, Marketing for Ripple Street, an influencer marketing company that connects brands with the people who love them to drive targeted trials, branded content creation, authentic product reviews, insights and more. A freelance writer in her spare time, Kerry has been published by The New York Times, Huffington Post, Parents magazine and Budget Travel, among others. She is also an Adjunct Professor of Marketing at Mercy College. Kerry received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Villanova University and lives in Irvington with her husband Desmond, their five children and two dogs, Beckett and Barkley.
Ken Mahoney is a financial advisor and the CEO of Mahoney Asset Management. Ken is a regular guest financial contributor on CNBC and WPIX and a financial analyst on Fox Business. Ken is also a producer who has won multiple Tony Awards and three Emmys. He also has also received a Grammy nomination. Ken, his wife Trish, and their two sons live in North Salem, NY in Westchester County.
Michael Mueller is a Detective with the Yonkers Police Department, currently on assignment with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Task Force. Mike joined the Yonkers Police Department in 1997 and was promoted to Detective in 2006. Mike is a graduate of the United States Department of Justice/FBI Criminal Investigation Course. He has served in leadership roles in the Yonkers Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, St. Baldrick’s, and the CYO at Annunciation- Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Michael lives in Yonkers with his wife Amanda and their two children.
Jessica A. Rosh
Jessica A. Rosh is an attorney with training in mediation and conflict resolution. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston University and graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Juris Doctor from New York Law School, where she was an Articles Editor on the Law Review. Jessica previously served on the President's Advisory Council of The Rosenthal JCC in Pleasantville, NY, as well as on the Board of Directors of Bet Torah in Mt. Kisco, NY.
Jessica and her family have been a longtime supporters of Make-A-Wish Hudson Valley and she is a Wish Granter and Wish Sibling as well. Her brother's Wish - the Chapter's first Presidential Wish - was granted in 1989. She lives in Westchester County with her husband David and their 2 daughters, Lauren and Emma.
Cathy Sifre has been a MAW volunteer for more than a decade, serving as a Wish granter. Cathy graduated from the University of Delaware and spent over twenty years in the advertising industry. In addition to her work with Make-A-Wish, she is involved in the New Paltz Chamber of Commerce, the New Paltz PTA and the New Paltz Athletic Association. Cathy lives in New Paltz with her husband, George, and their two children.
Karl Thimm, a longtime supporter of Make-A-Wish, is a co-founder of Karlen Inc, DBA Appliance Sales Plus and has been its President since 1979. He also sits on the Executive Board of Intercounty Appliance Corporation of Medford, New York. Karl graduated from Westchester Community College with a degree in Accounting and Business Management, and is a veteran of the United States Air Force. He serves as a Trustee for Putnam County Savings Bank (PCSB) and is a member of the Foundation Board of the Putnam Hospital Center. Karl and his wife Janis reside in Mahopac, New York. They have two grown children and six grandchildren.
Jim Tobin is the founder and CEO of River Communications, one of the leading financial services marketing and public relations firms in the U.S. Prior to River, Jim was a partner at the financial public relations firm Rubenstein, Wolfson & Co. Jim is an Adjunct Professor at his Alma Mater, Iona College. Jim is a member of the White Plains Police Department Opioid Task Force, and a long-time coach in White Plains Bernies Football Program.
