Wish kid Tommy, who has aplastic anemia, wished to go to the Atlantis to go swimming with dolphins.
After almost a year of treatment, he was able to go on his wish. Tommy and his family had a wonderful time at the Atlantis. They were able to spend time together and enjoyed a much-needed respite after a tough year.
At the Dolphin Cay at the Atlantis, Tommy even got to meet Jill the Dolphin who at 50 years old is known to be the oldest dolphin in human care. According to Tommy, his experience with Jill the dolphin was,
so cool, she was very friendly and she even let me rub her belly."
We were happy to host Tommy and his family recently at the Wish House and they shared with us photos and stories of his awesome wish experience including the "Thank You" note on the right → → →
On May 14th, Tommy celebrated a year since his BMT (bone marrow transplant) which his sister Katey was his donor. The family shared with us this powerful video of pictures of their journey (at 7:26 mins you can see some of their Make-A-Wish® experiences).
